today mr heng said something to me after hearing that i studied art management in RP.. he versed:

the world needs more art managers

but i don’t want to be just any art manager; if i enter this industry, i want to be the best.

is this what i really want though? how far can you go doing this? art/arts is such a complicated industry to be in.

what about advertising?

I have been heading down to Lasalle and Nafa for the past few days to view its intricate architecture and its wonderful ‘flowers’ and ‘grasses’. i love Lasalle, its beautiful and free flow, and the people dress awesome as well. Nafa on the other hand…

Haha how can 2 designs schools be so different. Though i’d still prefer to head to Nafa if i have to further my study as a designer/art manager. Its just more *solid* in a sense.

Yesterday (3/11/2009) i headed to Lasalles’ 15 minutes for lunch with Chanel. I must really thank her from saving me from a boring day at work, and for arriving early to have lunch with me before her class. Its been long since we talked, i guess the last time was on my birthday. The conversations were still as crappy as before, and we caught up on the juicy stuff instantaneously. It was good and super juicy, you know? you know? Not only was the topic juicy, the food was as well, in the cafe; It was pretty delicious even though the price’s a little steep for an NS guy like me who only has *cough* 3.50 a day allowance for lunch.

After checking out the Lasalle area, i walked Chanel back to Nafa as i didn’t want to head back to the office that early. Managed to check out the inside of Nafa, i wouldn’t say i was impressed. I expected more from it after seeing how beautiful Lasalle was. It looked just like any other building in the vicinity.

However after living on this unpredictable earth for 20 years, my mind has told me not to judge a book by its cover, but by the wonderful paragraphs that it produces.

my life seems to revolve around work so much its pretty scary to be without it.

what am i hidding behind?

Why am i so slow, when can i be as good?

i told myself to be vigilant in the military, such that when i’m out i have a clear path of where i am heading, but what have i been doing? endulging in the load of the army, being complacent during my weekends, fooling around when i should be planning. fred, you are so much better than this.

i went to the international YYSS session on tuesday with Xh.

i guess i was suppose to meet up with her as she just finished her interview for some random job in town.

so we were in cineleisure’s Koufu when YY asked when i was free, i informed her that i might not be able to sing with her but she might as well drop by with her friend to have dinner with me.

i wanted to hear her break up story anyway.

so we sat there, had dinner, listened to the hilarious story YY told us.

had her friend arrive, had them finish eating and then having us walking to party world for our singing session.

it was nice, we ordered for 4hrs but then me and xh left after 2hrs as we wanted to take the last train.

the singing session was pretty alright i guess. but then i could tell that YY’s emoing. durr.

ahh that girl’s strong i guess. haha after all, its just another guy

awesome day with shawty, hahaha but the ending could have been better-.-

Friday (11 oct 2009)

ok i finally had time for blogging. its been so tiring lately.

basically for xian huan’s 19th birthday, we headed over to sean’s house where sean, alouis and adria were already there and they prepared to whip out a cake for her as soon as she entered. she thought she was going to film and i guess was pretty irritated (in a good way) that i was in this whole thing too.

i hope you were surprised

so basically we headed to just noodles at suntec after the whole ordeal, ideally pretending that we were the only ones celebrating the birthday for her.

However after sitting down for awhile, and countless trips to the “bathroom” by sean and alouis, the rest of the TCP gang finally arrived and surprised her with the cake.

the cake was awesome i would say (side tracking aside) damn damn nice i wish i could ta bao seriously.

so yeah, sat down and ate our share of the cake before ordering dinner at just noodles. its been a long time since i saw vionna and apparently she has new news for me hah.

oh well just follow your heart yeah?

After eating, everyone headed in different directions while xian huan headed home with me cause tomorrow would be a long long day and we needed tons of rest for it.

she just hasn’t started knowing about it.

Monday (12 oct 2009)

I took off today, despite having a huge ass meeting, to bring xian huan out.

she had no idea where i was bringing her.

so i brought her out, but then i realised my bag was too small as i was carrying my fred perry bag and i wanted to put in an umbrella (the sky very the dark ah) and i wanted to put in my cardigan and stuff. so we went back home, yes. we did.

and came out again. i took her to take bus 15, and she had no idea where we were going.

in the end we ended up at marine parade, and i brought her over to east coast park. we walked for ages till we reached this little ant farm like place, its pretty cute, and used the toilet at some fancy fast food restaurant.

we even found out that there’s mini golf over there.

after awhile, we headed back to the opposite direction as we were pretty god damn hungry, and reluctantly ate mac, though asshole was pretty sick of mac already.

it was good energy food though none the less. oh yeah i kicked xh’s shoe below the seat, so it took her some time before she realised everything.

haha its so fun teasing her man, if it could be an occupation, i’ll be a professor at it.

well we got off and headed over to this bike stall for bike rentals, but it was closing already so sadly we decided to roam around the area, till we saw this other bike shop nearby.

it was open

it had bikes,

and it was going to a massive company dinner.

this meant.

we will have bikes

we will be paying a lower price

and we can have the bike ALL to ourselves all night long

and after we’re done, we could just lock it up at their booth and throw the key into the keyhole.

(yes no hourly charge AT ALL) woot!

so we got the couple bike (the 2 person ride one) (the irritating asshole say its called Double Bike instead, IRRITATING RIGHT! grrr)

and road all the way to changi beach.

YES all the way! even pass the skate park, the cable ski, the aloha chalet and towards the prawning farm.

ride until my legs damn tired man.

we rode till a part where it was starting to get boring, and eerie as well since the lights were all off.

so i U-turned the bike rode back to the famous east coast hawker centre and had supper there.

we ordered some orh zian and sugar cane. haha its not bad ah. ate for awhile before we headed back to the bike stall and dropped back the keys.

we walked back towards the marine parade before my L4D urge kicked in again and we headed to play some.

asshole looked pretty bored though. haha sorry lah next time dont play already. swear

erm and that concludes the 19th birthday of my lil girl.

headed home at around 1.30am and rested for the next day as i had to head to YOG on tuesday.

oh well. not too bad of a day lah right?
