The Closing of my Gallery
After a whole 3 months. My exhibition at *scape has finally ended. Thus with me being a very hardworking boy. i brought my lil bro’s (biiggg ass) NDP bag to *scape after work (of course obtaining weird stares by the passangers on the train).
Ronnie (my college) missed his stop at novena while he was teaching me how to deal with huge canvases and how to go about getting a nice picture with high resolution WHILE keeping the file size in check. Thus instead of goign to the califonia fitness in Novena, he dropped by at Somerset instead for his gym session. Well, since he was near my gallery, he popped by for a look. hah i wana paint canvas lahh! (with baby!) lol and murals and everything!
well the people there were having an event, thus i made everything fast. chopped the nylon strings in instances and removed the shoes (stupidly) nailed to the wall, packed up the shoes of brenda and tony (and my nasty pairs) and rushed home (of course with curious stares again). The showcase’s still in the gallery though. Maybe i should come get them another day when i’m free, with a trolley or something hah!

Marketing or Designing?
Ronnie my college (a damn experienced 40 year old designer) was describing to me about the marketing side of advertising and the designing side. hah but im interested in both!
guess i’d just have to be the boss, the boss gets to do EVERYTHING!

Sucky design, sucky layout, disgusting pictures of people from other schools, and the only mention of STA was some gay faggot called alvin that created a sucky local film that actually looking at it, isn’t really that big of a deal. Flipped to the back and saw some nonsensical low res-ed design of the RP graduation poster by some idiot in the school (most probably from IT). I wonder why the school of design existed in the first place. Apparently our creativity’s not needed.

New iPhone software has copy-paste, no Flash
CUPERTINO, California : Apple on Tuesday unveiled next-generation iPhone software with copy-paste and multimedia messaging features but no sign of much-coveted Flash for digital video.
Apple gave analysts and reporters a demonstration of the coming iPhone 3.0 operating system during an invitation-only event at the firm’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
The software is available for outside developers interested in crafting mini-programmes for popular iPhones and iPod Touch MP3 players but the operating system will not be publicly released until mid-year.
“It’s a significant update,” said Gartner analyst Van Baker. “When it ships, cut, copy and paste as well as multimedia-media messages will resonate most with consumers.”
iPhone 3.0 software will be a free upgrade for owners of the multi-function, Internet-linked mobile telephones. The new software will cost iPod Touch users about 10 dollars each.
The improvements in iPhone 3.0 addressed some of the complaints that iPhones lacked functions basic in competitors such as the Blackberry Storm, the Google Android G1, and the as-yet-unreleased Palm Pre.
Upgrades did not include being able to record video with iPhones or play video made using Adobe’s ubiquitous Flash software; an omission deeply irking many iPhone owners.
During a question-and-answer session, Apple executives responded with “No comment” to clamours for video recording and compatibility with Flash.
“They did not address the camera, which is a fairly low quality for a smartphone these days, and they also did not mention video support, which would be nice to see,” said Creative Strategies analyst Tim Bajarin.
“But, you can only do so much with the existing hardware. This is still a significant update,” he said.
Apple senior vice president of iPhone software Scot Forstall demonstrated how text and photographs can be copied from webpages on iPhone browsers and then pasted into an email or any other application.
Security and user-interface design complexities were blamed for the delay in adding it to iPhone’s operating system.
“There are a lot of pieces we really cared about which we wanted to get perfect as opposed to releasing something that didn’t quite work right,” Forstall said.
A new iPhone function allows users to search through their address books, calendars, email, and even iPods.
iPhone 3.0 also contains satellite navigation applications, stereo Bluetooth links and Internet-sharing between devices and other computers.
Electronic Arts, Oracle, ESPN and others used the event’s stage to unveil applications tailored to iPhone 3.0.
“This was the last bit of software that we felt was keeping us from developing for the iPhone,” said Seth Sternberg of instant messenger service Meebo.com.
Apple is letting outside developers build voice chat into iPhone videogames as well as access address books, calendars, and iPod music libraries.
iPhone 3.0 also lets accessory makers connect devices, such as radios, to Apple’s smartphones.
“We’re going to allow developers to create accessories that can talk directly to the iPhone,” Forstall said.
Apple said that this functionality could allow doctors to monitor patients on their iPhones, for example.
LifeScan’s Anita Mathew showcased an application that stores glucose readings on iPhones. “We will continue to create a world without limits for people with diabetes by partnering with Apple,” Mathew said.
Apple has sold nearly 14 million iPhones in 80 countries since the devices hit the market in 2007.
More than 800 million programmes for iPhones have been downloaded from its online App Store, according to Apple.

You know the instance where some people talk before processing their thoughts through grey matter? Sometimes the produced substance acts as a form of annoyance. I hate it. You know who you are bastard.
Also i realise that most conflicts between good friends happen when made to work together for a common goal. An offset of interest in one party offsets the whole balance. Thus when given a job, do it well, treat it like your life depends on it. You don’t wanna ruin your reputation over something that trivial right? Imagine, if you can’t even accomplish a group project well, how the hell are you able to accomplish the bigger things in life.
Anyway i realise that i have a rival, a new one (not that old bitch which i know that i’m better then her anyway). I realised that a long time ago, but i never knew it was that major. Every time i see that individual, i feel the likes of being better; both in subjects that i excel in and subjects that i don’t. That individual is my pace setter thats for sure.

hah i went with chanel after her admission to NAFA on wednesday to my gallery to take some pictures of it. hah i still have no idea what i am to do after the exhibition ends. Maybe i’d pay alittle trip down to the red cross home for the disabled on a weekend after the whole event ends.
Anyway Nerd was able to use her awesome photography skills to help capture the essence of my gallery. haha love her and her skills 
Love her new hair too. super cute. oh well back to designing. can’t wait to earn enough to get myself an IMAC. Designers dont design with notebooks lah please. plus the additional size of the LCD screens helps so much when doing edging.

Broke but happy
If you havent seen me for awhile. its not because i died, but cause of my lack of money, going out is actually pretty difficult with my tight budget.
anyway the clubbing night at zouk sucked. i cant believe how little the crowd was and the free drinks were soft drinks. bloody hell..
(but i got to meet my dear friends lah so its not thatt bad)
i got made to go on stage to dance, luckily Val was there to dance with me to save me from undeniable disgrace.
Jesslyn was made to head up to stage to cat walk and sing a song as well.
haha no one dared to go to the dance floor though which doesnt matter as the music sucked anyway.
hah the best entertainment were still the gay dancers. lol though it made it look like i was in a gay pub but it was still more entertaining then anything else.
Chanel came to find me afterwards. lol introing her to my friends were kinda weird as i have alot of diff cliques and i had to intro one by one. well i’m not very much into the annoucing business anyway haha! oh well chanel and i hanged out till the last train before heading home.

anyway i headed to the clementi abandoned railway with nerd on sunday. kinda annoyed that i cant go for the shoot in the morning due to some work though. anyway nerd was super cute lah with her fear of heights and everything. can’t convince her to walk the whole length of the railway.
